Rosemary

One of the best known and most common herbs in the Mediterranean is rosemary. Since the Middle Ages it has been indispensable in the kitchen as well as a medicine. It belongs to the genus of the labiates and is related to thyme, lavender and sage.

As a spice herb, rosemary goes wonderfully with many meat, fish and vegetable dishes, but also with soups or salads. The intensely tasting leaves with the essential oils can be used in many different ways, whereby mostly dried rosemary is used. A special tip is also the use for herbal oil: simply soak the dried and cleaned leaves in olive oil for several weeks and add a pinch of salt. You already have a spice to quickly refine any dish.

We currently use rosemary in our beef bars, where it has a particularly harmonious taste.
